Vintage Metal French Planter

This handsome Versailles planter is made in the same manner as the French planters from the 17th century still used today throughout the gardens of Versailles. Their function was to easily extract the exotic trees and place them into the orangeries of Versailles durint the harsh winter months. Elegant and stately these authentic green planters are a rare and special find. Decorative detail on all four sides make them structurally strong.
